St. George Brigade: http://novaemilitiae.squarespace.com/st-george-brigade/

The Periodic Musings blog will remain more or less devoted to the culture wars, whereas St. George Brigade, while not ignoring that ideological and cultural struggle,  will focus on both the culture wars and the "clash of civilizations," but especially what is to be done about them.  More specifically, what it is we Christians are to do about them.

A conservative and a liberal on liberal hate speech.

The first article is about Anne Coulter's book Slander, which of course liberals will automatically dismiss because of the subject matter. The second article is by Lanny Davis, former White House special counsel for the Clinton adminstration, who basically echoes the argument of the first article. The Davis article complements Hugh Hewitt's interview with Thomas Edsall, http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/Transcript_Page.aspx?ContentGuid=2a63c078-2e33-46d8-b85a-a91a5257fca2 , as to the realization even among liberals, or honest ones anyway, just how pathological so much of the liberal/left has become.

Though I speak jokingly here, as some posit the existence of some "Gay Gene," I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't also a "PC Gene," so seemingly hard wired are these pathologies: the penchant for condemning "hate speech" except when it comes out of their own mouths (and other manifestations of the embrace of double standards); the authoritarian employment of "speech codes" at American college campuses and in some allegedly "democratic" nations in the West; the substitution of emotionalism for reason, as evidenced by the left's typical reliance on one word "argument stoppers," shibboleths, bromides and sloganeering. Here's Dennis Prager on Harry Reid and the End of Liberal Thought: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2006/05/harry_reid_the_end_of_liberal.html

"If Christianity goes, so does Western Civilization. It’s worth fighting for."

Before there was Eurabia, there was Vatican II.
