What if. . .

all of the cosmos, as it swirls around us and expands away from us and obtrudes into us isn't "evidence" of chaos and chance and atheism after all?

What if all this is its own sort way of being formless and void, but about to be brought into lively order?

What if all the countless planets of all the countless galaxies are meant to eventually be host to a deified creature made in God's image, somehow producing everlasting spawn in a way that transcends human procreation?

What if the universe is intended to become teeming with life, ever expanding into the life of God?

What if "the earth is his footstool" is to be taken literally after all? That it really is the center of the universe, as it was there that "the firstborn of all Creation" created and redeemed His man and His universe?

What if. . .

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body." (St. Paul, Epistle to the Romans)
