So, what will it be, England? Your privacy is vanishing, your property is diminishing, and your right to free speech slipping away. And your “government” debars you the use of arms. What’s more, your “government” threatens to wash the Englishman away through it’s insane immigration policies.

What will you do?  If the time to act has not come, when will it be?  Have we seen the last of England and the birth of a monstrous tyranny?  Are there English freemen anymore?  Did you learn nothing from your Glorious Revolution and its continuation here in America (where we too, alas, are facing the prospect of tryanny)?

I have to fault Mr. Auster and Co. here with a failure of imagination and with defeatist thinking (though Auster has a penchant for swinging back and forth between optimism and pessimism).  Yes, the principles of separation be applied to liberalism.  It's called "secession", and the dream did not die in 1865.  See my section on secessionism at the Resources page.

Liberalism is a house of cards, but we will have to tolerate their existence for the near future, as they will have to tolerate the existence of Red State America and the growing power of the right in Europe.  Living apart -- the republican way, the confederate way --  is the only solution.
