Rod Dreher: Islam to destroy the United Stated from within.
Quite a read, this one. Or at least it should be. Who knows whether the American sheeple following their “leaders” in Washington, DC will eventually just end up aping the Europeans?
Dreher quotes from a Holy Land Foundation memo the FBI found in a terrorist suspect’s home:
The process of settlement [of Islam in the United States] is a "Civilization-Jihadist" process with all the word means. The Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" their miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who choose to slack.
Dreher comments:
The entire 18-page platform outlines a plan for the long haul. It prescribes the Muslim Brotherhood's comprehensive plan to set down roots in civil society. It begins by both founding and taking control of American Muslim organizations, for the sake of unifying and educating the U.S. Muslim community – this to prepare it for the establishment of a global Islamic state governed by sharia.
It sounds like a conspiracy theory out of a bad Hollywood movie – but it's real. Husain Haqqani, head of Boston University's Center for International Relations and a former Islamic radical, confirms that the Brotherhood "has run most significant Muslim organizations in the U.S." as part of the plan outlined in the strategy paper.
The HLF trial is exposing for the first time how the international Muslim Brotherhood – whose Palestinian division is Hamas – operates as a self-conscious revolutionary vanguard in the United States. The court documents indicate that many leading Muslim-American organizations – including the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the Muslim American Society – are an integral part of the Brotherhood's efforts to wage jihad against America by nonviolent means.
So, what is to be done about Islam in the United States? Not “radical Islam”. Islam. Islam is by its very nature a radical, totalistic faith, which is to say an all-encompassing religion AND system of law.
Larry Auster says what Dreher apparently can’t say at the Dallas Morning News:
They're waging a war of Islamic conquest on us, and Dreher calls for ... criticism of them? Of course, the inadequacy of Dreher's position stems from the fact that under our current laws the U.S. can do nothing to restrict any religion. But we cannot accept that. We must change the laws. Islam must be offically defined as what it really is, a hostile political movement seeking to impose the tyrannical sharia law in our society, and on that basis be denied the First Amendment protections received by ordinary religions. Then we can go beyond impotently criticizing and kvetching about Islam, and start defending ourselves from it instead. And the only sure way of defending ourselves from Islam is to outlaw it and remove it permanently from our society. . . .
With the Thirteenth Amendment as our model, the Abolition of Islam Amendment could be written as follows:
Section 1. The religion taught by the Prophet Muhammad in the Koran and in the Islamic Traditions or Hadiths, and formalized in the Islamic schools of jurisprudence, also known as the Sharia Law, shall not be practiced within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2. This article supersedes any contrary provision of this Constitution and of the laws of the United States, and of the constitutions and laws of the several states.
Section 3. Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Section 4. The constitutionality of any laws passed by Congress pursuant to this article shall not be subject to the jurisdiction of the federal judiciary.
A radical proposal, this? Quite so. But what’s the alternative? The likely propagation in America of the radical faith/legal system known as “Islam”, that’s what. Neither the flawed federal Constitution nor America’s rather ill-considered “principle” of absolute religious liberty are suicide pacts. And if the Federals in DC can’t figure this out, then the Federals have to go. Because cultural and political suicide will inevitably be the result if they don't.
