Rome on the Potomac wrings its hands about the inevitable nuclear attack.
It's only a matter of time, they say.
Of course, we wouldn't be surprised to learn that this publicly-expressed angst is merely part of the neocons' effort to drum up support for another misguided smackdown of a Middle Eastern country, this time Iran.
Whether it's one or the other, mere hand-wringing or scheme to expand the war, the real solution is quite simple. We do two things:
1) Remove the causes of "blowback". Rep. Ron Paul wrote an excellent article about "blowback", or the Law of Unintended Consequences, or the Law of Opposites. Read it here. Per Dr. Paul, it's time to "abandon our grandiose scheme to rule the entire Middle East through intimidation and military confrontation."
2) Adopt the principle of separationism. As for the domesticated Umma aleady here in America, the same author proposes 5 steps to deal with the threat of jihad in America.
If the Muslim world is 1) not (rightfully) angry at us anymore and 2) not here in the states, generally speaking, the chances of that nuclear detonation in DC or another American city (or cities) are reduced to almost nothing. What could be simpler and more desirable?
But that would be to expect reason from the DC klounocrats. It assumes that they'd actually be able to free themselves from the PC paradigm and actually act with courageous and noble resolve, liberal/leftists be damned, to protect this country from such an event.
There is nothing courageous or noble, however, in the people who purport to "lead" this country. They have no shred of reason left in them. And the idiotic electorate just keeps putting the same people back in office.
So, maybe DC and the dimwitted electorate have earned that nuclear fireball. Knowing that such an event is likely, given the Federals' inability to learn, is why many of us Old Rightists and libertarians have moved to the mountains or the country. Besides, it's from the heartland that the new American culture will arise, assuming it is to arise at all. It surely won't be the likes of the klounocrats who bring it into being.
